Jupiter Electric Mobility collaborates with Pickkup

Jupiter Electric Mobility (JEM), the electric vehicle arm of Jupiter Wagons, signed an MOU with Pickkup, a fast-growing Delhi-based logistics platform specialising in sustainable intra-city and intercity deliveries. Congruent with India's vision for clean mobility and committed to the Government of India's PM e-DRIVE scheme, the tie-up signifies a strategic leap towards promoting electric vehicle usage in the logistics industry. The partnership aims to deploy 300 units of JEM TEZ, JEM's top-of-the-line electric light commercial vehicle, in Pickkup's growing EV fleet by the end of this year. The collaboration kicks off with the successful delivery of the first batch of JEM TEZ vehicles under the MoU, following extensive pilot runs that showcased the exceptional capability of delivering real-world performance, range reliability, and operational efficiency across both intra-city and inter-city routes. Net profit of Jupiter Wagons declined 1.83% to Rs 103.26 crore in the quarter ended March 2025 as against Rs 105.18 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2024. Sales declined 6.35% to Rs 1044.55 crore in the quarter ended March 2025 as against Rs 1115.41 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2024.  Jupiter Tatravagonka Railwheel Factory (JTRF), a subsidiary of Jupiter Wagons, has successfully secured land in Haldiapada, Khordha, Odisha, for its upcoming Railwheel & Axle forging plant. This marks a major milestone in the company's expansion plans, reinforcing Odisha's position as a strategic hub for high-tech industrial manufacturing. Notably, JTRF is the first railway heavy engineering industry in Odisha in the private sector. Jupiter Tatravagonka plans to invest Rs 2,500 crore in phases over the next few years to develop this state-of-the-art facility.
